Making Room for Prayer and Shared Work
Several times each year, the Society brings together leaders and disciples from churches, ministries, nonprofits, institutions, and communities across Greater Austin. We pray, learn, share what we are seeing, solve problems, and build relationships that can support shared work over time.

This Practical Training day helps leaders clarify a vision for a particular place or people, deepen a posture of abiding prayer, and draft a strategy for disciple and church multiplication. David Cervenka leads the day from a framework he has used in Austin and abroad.
Four Ways We Make Room
Different kinds of work need different kinds of rooms. Each gathering begins with a clear purpose and makes space for prayer, local knowledge, and honest conversation.
Mission Huddles
Leaders gather around a ministry question, pray, compare what they are seeing, and identify who else should be part of the conversation.
Focused Tables
Practitioners carrying similar work learn from one another, examine a common challenge, and leave with a clearer next step.
Partner Gatherings
Churches and organizations with a defined shared purpose clarify roles, decisions, communication, and what each partner has agreed to carry.
Practical Training
Leaders build a useful skill or framework together and apply it to the people and places they already serve.

David Cervenka convened practitioners from several Greater Austin communities who are pursuing disciple and church multiplication. They prayed, shared stories, and compared what they are learning.
April 25, 2026 · Reaching Gen Z and Gen Alpha
At Austin Oaks Church, Zac Tinney presented and hosted a panel on what local leaders are seeing among younger generations. Participants learned, prayed, and shared a meal.
March 28, 2026 · House and Simple Church Practitioners
At the For the City Center, practitioners shared stories, encouraged one another, built relationships, and prayed together.
January 31, 2026 · Called to Connect
At Mission Possible, leaders reflected on interviews from across Austin and considered how stronger relationships might help the Church work together.
October 18, 2025 · Prayer and Evangelism
At Grace Covenant Church, the Society’s first public Mission Huddle brought leaders together to seek God for the city and encourage one another in prayer and evangelism.
September 5, 2025 · ATX Kingdom Prayer
The public listing invited Christians across Greater Austin to gather online on Friday mornings for prayer. The archived record preserves the invitation while omitting access credentials and not implying a current weekly schedule.
The Society has also helped convene invitation-only Church Planting Leader Tables, a Church Planter Huddle with partners, and Partners in Hope Relational Poverty Forums. The Society publishes gatherings meant for a public audience while protecting the trust of smaller conversations.
