Where a Gift Goes
Research and Public Tools
Gifts sustain congregation data, State of the City research, regional profiles, prayer resources, writing, and digital tools.
Gatherings and Collaboration
Gifts help leaders and disciples meet, build relationships, and carry follow-through without asking one church or ministry to fund the whole effort.
Leadership Support
Gifts help support the people carrying responsibilities for the Society’s research, gatherings, partnerships, and regional coordination.
Shared Work
Gifts give the Society capacity to support defined, partner-led work when a gap or opportunity should be carried together.
Support the People Carrying the Work
Some members of the Society’s team are employed and supported through Reliant, a separate sending organization. A gift made through an individual Reliant page supports that person’s ministry assignment under Reliant’s policies; it is not a gift to Greater Austin Mission Society.
Todd Engstrom
Todd leads the Society’s strategy, research, citywide relationships, and organizational development. Support raised through Reliant sustains his ministry assignment and the time required to build the Society’s shared work.
David Cervenka
David strengthens evangelism, disciple-making, and church multiplication across Greater Austin while continuing to coach leaders in Japan. Support raised through Reliant sustains that ministry assignment and his work connecting practitioners across churches and networks.
Why Support Raising?
The apostle Paul sometimes laid aside his right to financial support so that money would not become an obstacle to the gospel. In that spirit, Society team members cultivate communities of prayer and financial partnership through Reliant. This model helps the Society serve churches freely without placing the full cost of the work on any one organization.
The Society may contribute toward a team member’s support, but it will provide no more than 50 percent of that person’s total Reliant-approved support target. Each team member therefore depends on a broader community of individuals, churches, and other partners who choose to help carry that ministry.
What Donors Should Know
Is Greater Austin Mission Society a nonprofit?
Yes. Greater Austin Mission Society is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Its EIN is 39-2618190. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Can I give regularly?
Yes. The Givebutter campaign offers one-time, monthly, and quarterly giving. Predictable support helps the Society plan research, gatherings, and shared work with greater steadiness.

How do I change or cancel a recurring Givebutter gift?
Givebutter provides a link in the gift receipt for managing a recurring plan. If you need help, email todd@missionatx.org.
What if I made a mistaken or duplicate gift?
Email todd@missionatx.org with the transaction details. The Society will review the request with Givebutter under the provider’s refund rules.
